As part of the initial screening process for the family business awards, all companies with €2M+ in 2024 revenues (more than 20,000) were evaluated based on their financial performance in 2024. Particular emphasis was placed on three-year revenue growth and return on assets (ROA) to identify businesses demonstrating sustained development and operational strength within the realm of Baltic entrepreneurship.
In addition to financial criteria, eligibility required evidence of active family-business involvement, including at least two family members participating in company ownership and/or serving on the board, underscoring the importance of family business dynamics.
Out of 1200 longlisted companies, qualitative criteria were applied to select the shortlisted nominees in each category, highlighting business innovation alongside established financial metrics.
This year, five different award categories have been established, with five nominees in each category. In total, there are 20 companies representing all three Baltic countries, showcasing the vibrant entrepreneurial landscape.
