Family businesses are the backbone of resilient and sustainable economies. Through these awards, we celebrate the people and stories shaping the future of family entrepreneurship across the Baltics.
As part of the initial screening process, all companies with €2M+ in 2024 revenues ( more than 20,000) were evaluated based on their financial performance in 2024, with particular emphasis placed on three-year revenue growth and return on assets (ROA) to identify businesses demonstrating sustained development and operational strength.
In addition to financial criteria, eligibility required evidence of active family-business involvement, including at least two family members participating in company ownership and/or serving on the board.
Out of 1200 longlisted companies, qualitative criteria were applied to select the shortlisted nominees in each category.
This year, five different award categories have been established, with five nominees in each category. In total, there are 20 companies from all three Baltic countries

Recognizes businesses that have successfully modernized through innovation, digital transformation, new products, improved operations, or major changes to their business model. Companies are evaluated based on clear evidence of meaningful transformation, market impact, and sustained modernization efforts rather than size or reputation alone.
Honors companies that effectively communicate their family-business story and promote the value of family entrepreneurship through branding, media presence, and public engagement. Selection focuses on the authenticity, visibility, and consistency of the family narrative across public communications and community influence.
Celebrates businesses that make meaningful contributions to society through philanthropy, social responsibility, environmental initiatives, volunteering, or long-term support for local communities. Companies are selected based on the scale, consistency, and measurable impact of their community engagement efforts.
Recognizes companies that demonstrate outstanding business expansion through revenue growth, internationalization, workforce development, market entry, or strategic scaling. We look for strong and sustained growth supported by credible evidence of business momentum and successful expansion.
Highlights exceptional leadership by younger-generation family members who are shaping the future of the business through strategic direction, modernization, or succession leadership. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership impact, visible responsibility within the company, and contribution to long-term business development.
